After years of feeling dismissed, unheard, ridiculed and even outright lied to by many providers while trying to find some relief and help I was at a very low point and just ready to give up and live with being chronically ill the best I could. Dr. Silva made me feel so heard and validated from the very first appointment. She does not end her quest to find answers and the best treatment options at the end of an appointment. She puts so much of her own time into seeking out treatments, knowledge and emerging information. She is always so open to input from me when I have done my own research as well. I would say the most important factor in her approach for me is that she is truly dedicated to the belief that her patients know their symptoms and bodies best and and never dismisses my input, descriptions or symptoms as inconsequential. Her intuitive nature has been so right on point in many situations I have brought to her and has lead to feeling impowered myself to trust my own intuition and stand up for it with my other providers on my care team.

I started experiencing a range of symptoms my second month into graduate school and my mom recommended me to seek help from Dr. Silva. It was the best decision I made for my health! I truly don’t know where I would be or how I would feel if I didn’t have Dr. Silva as part of my team. She listens, she cares, and she understands your experience of symptoms and experiences in the healthcare system. My favorite part (of many) of Dr. Silva is that I can be myself around her, I don’t fear our appointments or fear sharing my experiences, I feel comfortable, I feel heard, and I feel that my input is always taken into treatment planning. My symptoms have improved so much with her help and highly recommend her for anyone living with conditions related to Fibromyalgia and other chronic illnesses like MCAS or hypermobilty; conditions that other providers don’t want to address or even know about. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and truly a wonderful person. Im so grateful for her and highly recommend her!

When you first have symptoms of chronic illness, it can be a really hard experience. It had a scary effect mentally for me and I was being guided toward unfit / severe directions before having my diagnoses. I think what helps is that Dr. Silva has gone through her own journey with chronic illness and it reflects in how she considers you. In a way, having that (ongoing) support, relatability saved my life. We met beginning of the pandemic when I hadn’t been diagnosed, in the height of physical and mental symptoms. I remember her almost receiving me as a new patient with attention and grace. I’ve learned my information on life with fibromyalgia through Dr. Silva. I feel her using resources of years in practice and from collecting data from patients. + intelligent, caring disposition.

Dr. Nicole Silva takes time to not just listen to how you’re feeling and the pain you’re experiencing but she actually hears you! She then offers suggestions, labs, natural supplements and sometimes prescriptions. She is the kind of medical professional that works with you and then will even refer you to other doctors if she thinks that’s what you both believe is needed. My experience with Dr. Nicole Silva has been excellent for my fibromyalgia diagnosis!

I was seeing my primary care for fibromyalgia. I was miserable drugged down with no support. I started see Dr. Silva when she worked at The Frida Center and followed her to One Song. She finally gave me a clear view of my diagnosis and truly changed my life. Before I was in pain daily now I have more good days then bad. Which is great when you own a farm.

I tried so many doctors and naturopaths and diets and healers and methods and I had given up so many times, thinking and feeling that I was just going to have to live in pain for the rest of my life.

We’ve been working together for almost 2 years, and my life has changed immensely. My daily pain has gone from an 8/10 to a 3/10, and fatigue is similar. I’m able to work again, and feel alive; I was a walking corpse before. Working with Dr. Silva has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
