My Experience with Frida Botanicals

I have found the Frida Botanicals products extremely helpful not only for my patients, but also for myself. Below are my thoughts and experience with all the products. Follow this link to the Frida Botanicals website for more information. You can also check out Dr. Liptan’s YouTube channel for more information on the new Herbal Tinctures.

CBD Muscle Balm: This salve is a lifesaver and helpful for providing some instant relief to painful muscles and fascia. One of my patients calls it her “magic salve” and applies it daily. The botanical combination with the CBD is very effective and smells sooooo good. Many of my patients also find it extremely helpful for their arthritic pain.

CBD Tincture: Dr. Liptan has plenty of information on the benefits of CBD, so I won’t belabor the topic here. The Frida Botanical’s CBD tincture is a great value for the price when compared to most CBD products on the market. This was the last puzzle piece to really lock-in my sleep supplement regimen. CBD enables me to get restorative sleep even during times of high stress or travel. It has also helped many of my patients with sleep, pain, fog, and anxiety. It is good to note that even if you have tried one brand of CBD without benefit, it is always good to try a few more. Each one has a different profile of constituents along with the CBD, such as terpenes, that can make different strains/products better for different folks. Sometimes you just have to do a little Goldilocks investigation to find the one that is just right for you.

Magnesium Cream: In my experience, my patients either find this to be a lifesaver or don’t notice much of a difference at all with use. It is always worth a good week trial of daily application to see if it can help with musculoskeletal pain. Many of my patients find it helpful for muscle tension, tendonitis, and muscle pain.

Herbal Tinctures: As these new botanical tinctures have just been released, I have not had any experience using them with my patients or personally yet. I do however have experience working with the individual botanicals and I am super excited about the combinations that Dr. Liptan has formulated. One of my favorite things about working with botanical medicine is that each herb has so many functions. So while each herbal tonic is well designed for its purpose, they will also have beneficial effects in other areas. For example, Taper Tonic #2 is designed to help those tapering off of opioids. However, the botanicals featured in the tonic can also offer pain relief to those not on opioids and some of the herbs even help reduce anxiety. Botanical medicine is a holistic way to support people in many areas at once. I am thrilled this tool has been added to the Frida Botanicals repertoire and can’t wait to see how these new herbal tonics improve quality of life for my patients.
